Camdenton Missouri, June 13, 2018 – As PCBs become miniaturized, denser and more complex, and lead-free soldering has become common, board assemblers are finding that cleaning is required for board level reliability. Finding space for this cleaning process has been a challenge for many manufacturers and many have resorted to batch processing due to space constraints.

Electrovert’s Aquastorm™ 60 In-line Cleaning System is ideal for PCB, semiconductor, and industrial cleaning applications in which the manufacturing volume has outgrown the capability of a batch type cleaner and there is a lack of floor space for a typical in-line cleaner. The Aquastorm 60 offers high-end performance capabilities in a compact design. For both straight DI and chemistry based applications the total length is 9’ 10” (3009 mm).

The Aquastorm 60 now includes a Windows®-based operating system that provides familiar pull-down menus, includes data logging, and has barcode capability. Important cleaning parameters such as flows, pressures, and temperatures are easily displayed on the GUI.

As demand increases and space allows, manufacturers can easily add the Aquastorm® FSM (Free Standing Module). The FSM is a free-standing additional wash section that can be added to any existing in-line cleaning process. It is available for a ‘straight DI’ or ‘chemical wash with chemical isolation’ processes.

“The Electrovert approach is to provide the market with a flexible range of Aquastorm series cleaners that utilize technologies that exceed cleaning and drying expectations,” said Greg Calvo, ITW EAE Electrovert Product Manager. “The Aquastorm FSM provides additional process flexibility without the time and expense to convert your existing cleaner and/or replacing your existing cleaning process.”
