Naprotek Supports San José Youth Job Shadow Week

Naprotek, Inc., a provider of electronic manufacturing services, today announced that it will participate in the San José Youth Job Shadow Week. The company supports the City of San José on a regular basis and has cultivated a strong relationship with the city.

The office of San José Councilmember Lan Diep is organizing a job shadow week from July 15-19, 2019, giving high school and college students the opportunity to explore potential careers in Santa Clara County. The city is partnering with The LGBTQ Youth Space, giving young LGBT adults the opportunity to see themselves in the employment spaces of their community. 

“Naprotek Inc. has partnered with the City of San Jose’s Work2Future and STRIVE program for the past four years in support of the city’s employment and training initiative for adults, college and high school students,” stated Armando Aguilar, Naprotek’s Human Resource Manager. “We continue to seek opportunities to fulfill our civic duty to the San Jose communities and this year we have partnered with the city to participate in The LGBTQ Youth Space – Youth Job Shadow Week program. Naprotek is excited to have the opportunity to host our candidate, and hopefully spark interest and the possibility of pursuing a career in the various areas in the exciting world of Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS).”

A number of participants indicated that they would like to go into engineering, programming and coding, and Naprotek will give them the opportunity to shadow its staff to learn about these careers firsthand.
