STI Electronics, Inc., a full-service organization providing training services, training materials, analytical/failure analysis, prototyping and small-to-medium volume contract PCB assembly, is pleased to announce that it was named EMS Company of the Year for 2018 by CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY magazine. The distinction is bestowed annually on EMS companies that have demonstrated profitability and sustained excellence among their peers over a period of years.

In announcing the award, CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY called STI Electronics “unique” among Tier 4 EMS companies. Its range of services belies its size. Among them are traditional SMT and box build to full-service failure analysis lab, cleanroom die bonding and operator training. This year, it will introduce an OEM product it is developing with a third party.

“Over its 37 years in business, STI has evolved dramatically as a company, yet it is extraordinarily methodical in terms of assessing the pros and cons of a given material, equipment or new service, and highly respectful of its roots and personnel,” said Mike Buetow, editor-in-chief of CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY in announcing the award. “Its culture is as strong and positive as any manufacturer we have encountered. We are pleased to announce STI Electronics as our eleventh EMS Company of the Year.”

STI Electronics joins AsteelFlash, Creation Technologies, Fabrinet, Firstronic, Jabil, Key Tronic EMS, Kimball Electronics, Lightspeed Technologies, Plexus and Venture Corp. in the select group of winners of the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY EMS Company of the Year.
